1.9 - Family Reunion (pt.1)

It has been 18 months since Jade's birth now. Winter is slowly approaching, Jade can finally stand upright on her own two feet and Ruby is so active that Kerry has been considering enrolling her in a dance class to get rid of some of that energy. Kerry has been a 24-hour stay-at-home-mom since then, and it's a job much tougher than what she used to do at 2Pro Inc . But also much more rewarding. "Mom! Mom! Mom! MOM, look what I can do!!!", Ruby yells and swings her legs over her body into a handstand that is certainly impressive for her age. "Jay do!", the little one yells in response and tries to mimic her sister's stunts, but her feet still remain on the floor. "Wow, that's great! But just don't hurt yourself please... Maybe you want to go outside to play so you don't bump into any furniture, yes?" Now that it's already been one and a half years since Jade's birth she's ready to get back to work and has

It took her some courage but eventually Kerry told her friend about her unexpected pregnancy and its complicated circumstances. "In tummy?", Ruby asks in disbelief and lays her little hands on it. "Why?" "Because the baby is not big enough yet and needs a warm and safe place to grow, like mom's tummy. Can you hear something? Can you feel

1.7 - The last depressing chapter

Kerry would have been sleeping for another few hours if it wasn't for that damn phone ringing on the night table and in her brain. Who on earth calls her at... whatever time it is? Her head feels like it's about to explode... Wait, what happened last night? How did she get here? She tries to recollect her memories and ignores the call but it starts angrily ringing again only seconds later. The caller is persistent so she forces herself to stand up and turn the lights on, which immediately triggers another wave of sharp pain in her head. "Okay, fine, fine, I come! ... uhhh, my head..." She grabs her phone. It's Ramona's name on the display. "Ramona, what the heck does she - oh... oh no...", she slowly realizes. "Hey, uh... hi Ramona. - Oh, could you please lower your voice... My head hurts. - Ruby? Oh yeah no, of course I didn't forget about her... - Sorry to make you worry. I'm just... I'm feeling really terrible.
